The spark of an idea and the craft to make it real. We build magical digital experiences that bring people together.
The Name
Two forces. One philosophy.
Ether
/ ee-ther /
The unseen. The spark before the fire. Ether is imagination, the space where ideas live before they take shape. It's the feeling of a story forming in the dark, the intuition that something should exist before anyone builds it. In ancient thought, ether was the fifth element — the substance of stars and the heavens. For us, it's the creative energy behind everything we make.
Ink
/ ingk /
The mark. The commitment. Ink is craft — the act of turning an idea into something tangible. It's code written, designs rendered, experiences built. Ink is permanent. It's the moment an idea stops being abstract and becomes real. From the first line on a page to the final pixel on a screen, ink is how creation becomes something others can touch.
About Us
Ether & Ink is a one-person studio — built by a solo developer who grew up with a book in one hand and a wild idea in the other.
I've always believed that the best stories aren't just the ones you read. They're the ones you build. The ones you chase at 2 a.m. because the idea won't let go. The ones where you look at something that doesn't exist yet and think, "I could make that."
Books taught me that. Every story I ever read showed me a world someone imagined into existence — and I wanted to do the same thing, but with software. Ether & Ink is where that love of books, imagination, and creativity meets the craft of building real things.
I design, develop, and ship every product here. No team. No investors. Just the work and the love behind it. Every pixel, every line of code, every late-night bug fix — it all comes from the same place: a deep belief that the things we make for people should feel like they were made with care.
If you've ever lost yourself in a book and wished the rest of the world felt that magical — that's exactly what I'm trying to build.
Ideas First
Every project starts with a question worth answering. I chase the ideas that excite me and build the things I wish existed.
Craft Over Scale
I'd rather make one thing extraordinary than ten things adequate. Details matter. Polish matters. The experience matters.
Privacy by Design
Your data is yours. My apps work offline first, I never sell personal information, and I build trust into every decision.
A Touch of Magic
Software doesn't have to feel sterile. I infuse every experience with wonder — because the best tools feel like they were made for you.

Security
How we protect you and your data.
Encryption in Transit
All communication between our apps and servers uses HTTPS/TLS. Cleartext HTTP is blocked at the app level.
Row Level Security
Every database query is enforced by row-level security policies. You can only access your own data — even if an API call is intercepted, it cannot return another user's information.
No Passwords Stored
Authentication is handled through magic links and Google OAuth. We never store, process, or have access to passwords.
Offline-First Architecture
Your data lives on your device by default. Cloud sync is opt-in. If you never sign in, nothing ever leaves your phone.
Anonymous by Design
Community features use randomly generated UUIDs, not real identities. Your wizard name is the only thing other users ever see.
Content Sanitization
All user-generated content — wizard names, shared quotes, notes — is validated and sanitized before storage and display to prevent injection attacks.
Rate Limiting
Community submissions, auth attempts, and API calls are rate-limited to prevent abuse, brute-force attacks, and spam.
Automatic Data Cleanup
Lore Night game rooms, player answers, and session data are automatically deleted after 24 hours. We don't keep what we don't need.
Responsible Disclosure

Please include a description of the issue and steps to reproduce it. I will acknowledge your report within 48 hours and work to resolve verified issues as quickly as possible. Please do not publicly disclose the issue until it has been addressed.
